Hi, I'm Mel!
I got my first taste for photography by watching my dad behind the camera - snapping nature, scenery and memories for us that would last for years to come. The walls of our family home are decorated with landscapes and memories shot by him. I was hooked on the idea of capturing moments that might otherwise fade from memory, and pieces of our everyday life that make us unique.
Fast forward to 2018 - wanting to learn more and refine what I had learned shooting for fun, I began assisting at Julia Corsino Photography with weddings, engagement, family and boudoir sessions. Alongside Julia, I l0ve capturing more out of the box or behind scenes photos, and started to develop "people" skills that previously made me tend to prefer landscapes and animals.
My camera always comes with me on my outdoor adventures, whether it's a regular hop over to the barn or community garden, or on a camping or hiking trip. I do believe that nature will always be my biggest inspiration in photography.
I'm a lifelong learner, and learn something new with every session.
